"அப்படி என்ன இருந்தது அந்த மினஞ்சலில்? உங்களின் ஆர்வம் எனக்கு தெரிகின்றது". பிரபல மென்பொருள் நிறுவனத்தில் அவர் உள்பட 65 நபர்கள் தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளதாகவும் சொல்லபட்டிருந்தது. ஆனால் மேற்கண்ட வேலைக்கு மேலும் ஒரு தகுதி தேர்வு நடக்கின்றது என்றும், நீங்கள் உறுதியாக வருவதாக இருந்தால் ரூ. 6,300/- எங்கள் நிறுவன வங்கி கணக்கில் செலுத்தவும் என்று சொல்லப்பட்டது. இதை பார்த்தவுடன் என் நண்பனோ தயக்கம் காட்டினான். எனினும் நல்ல நிறுவனத்தில் வேலை, எனினும் அவன் மனம் அவனை அவ்வளவு எளிதாக விட்டு விடவில்லை. மேலும் படித்தான். படித்து முடித்த தருவாயில் அவன் முகத்தில் மீண்டும் ஒரு எழுர்ச்சி தெரிந்தது. நீங்கள் கட்டும் பணமானது உறுதியளிப்பு தொகை. மேலும் இந்த பணமானது எங்கள் நிறுவனத்தில் சேரும் பொழுது திருப்பி கொடுத்து விடுவோம் என்று சொல்லப்பட்டு இருந்தது. இதை பார்த்தவுடன் நண்பரிடம் விவரத்தை சொல்லி கடனாக பெற்று வங்கி கணக்கில் பணத்தை செலுத்தினான். பின்பு பணம் செலுத்திய ரசீதின் நகலை குறிப்பிட்டப்பட்ட மின்னஞ்சல் முகவரியான hcl.interview@technologist.com க்கு அனுபிவைத்தான். அதன் பின்பு அவனுக்கு இரயில் பயணசீட்டு, தேர்வுக்கான நுழைவு சீட்டு கொரியர் செய்வதாக சொன்னார்கள். மேலும் இதில் தேர்வு எதுவும் இல்லாமல் சேரவேண்டுமானால் இரண்டு வருட பிணைப்பு தொகையாக ரூ.9,000/- செலுத்துமாறு சொனார்கள். அதையும் நண்பர் கடனாக பெற்று மீண்டும் குறிப்பிட்ட வங்கி கணக்குக்கு பணம் நண்பர் செலுத்தினார். இப்படியே ரூ.23,300/- பணம் செலுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது. அவர்களும் பிரபல தனியார் மென்பொருள் நிறுவனத்தின் பெயரில் பணி நியமன ஆணை வழங்கினார்கள். அவன் கனவுலகில் நீந்திகொன்டிருந்த நேரம். நாட்கள் மெதுவாக நகர்ந்து சென்றது. வேலைக்கு சேர சொல்லிய நாளும் வந்தது. ஆனால் அவர்கள் அனுப்பி வைப்பதாக சொல்லிய இரயில் பயணசீட்டு மற்றும் ஆப்பர் லெட்டெர் கொரியர் லில் அனுப்புவதாக சொல்லி 3 நாள் முழுவதுமாக முடிந்துவிட்டது. அன்று முழு பவர்ணமி, மொட்டை மாடியில் படுத்துக்கொண்டு மனதை புரட்டிக்கொண்டு அரை து(தூ)க்கத்தில் இருந்தான். மறுநாள் காலையில் அவர்களின் தொலை பேசியில் தொடர்பு கொண்டான். அபொழுது அவன் முகம் மிகவும் இறுக்கமாக போனது காரணம் "போன் சுவிட்ச் ஆப்". மேலும் இது பற்றி தனது தூரத்து உறவினரிடம் தெரிவித்தான். அவர் நல்ல இனைய அனுபவம் உள்ளவர் மேலும் மென்பொருள் நிறுவனத்தில் வேளையில் இருப்பவர். அவர் தான் இது ஒரு "போலி", "மோசடி" என்று கண்டுபிடித்து சொன்னவர். அவன் ஒடிந்து போனான். அவன் கண்களில் கண்ணீர் ஆறாக ஓடியது. என்ன செய்வது வேறு வழி இல்லை.
